Is it legal to design your own T-shirt with a copyrighted slogan?

I want to design a T-shirt around the quote "You will fear my laser-face" from the last episode of the copyrighted webseries Red vs Blue. I DON’T plan on selling any shirts or making profit in any way. I just want to wear the shirt. Is this legal?

It’s not a copyright issue as much as a trademark one. But given that you don’t plan to sell it and are only making one, it shouldn’t be a problem as a practical matter.

i believe it is still copyright.. and i think you need to get permission from the owner of the slogan to acualy use it not sure though
