How can I make my own T-shirt design website?

Posted on November 7th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 2 Comments »

I want to make my own t-shirt design site (similar to cafepress.com, spreadshirt.com, districtlines.com), but instead of it being for customers making their own designs, I want it to consist of my designs. I want to be able to design the tees, but never have to do the actual heat press and shipping process. I know I can make Zen Cart for the purchasing process, but as for everything else, I’m at a loss.

You could have a website with your t-shirt designs, then arrange for a print business who does this type of thing to print them.

Do you have a cool shirt design for a rafting company?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 1 Comment »

I work for a whitewater rafting company and I design their tee-shirts that we sell to guests. However, I’m having a brain fart here! Anyone have any good ideas? Or something that you would buy if you went rafting? (We raft in California.)

How about a picture with an ore, an upside down boat, and a bottle of beer floating down the rapids with the beer centered in the middle and the words… Our motto: Save the beer, forget the rafters !

Hope this helps…….

How do I asure that my shirt design is protected?

I have a design for a t-shirt with a slogan. How do I assure that my design and slogan is protected (from t-shirt design and logo steeling thieves) before I start to market it?
TheBigFGuy- Thanx. This is the answer I needed.

Do a "Poor man’s Patent". Take photos of the design and FedEx them to yourself. Do not open unless there’s a need to (ie. lawsuit, etc.).

The shipping date of the package shows when you came up with the design and can prove that it was your idea first.

How do I make a t-shirt design using photoshop?

I really want to start creating my own designs for t-shirts but i have no idea where to start. Are there any good tutorials out there? Does anyone know of a good website i could upload the designs onto?

I don’t know if this is the answer you are looking for but I use Microsoft Word when I make T-shirts.

I make the margins as wide as possible and use either landscape or portrait depending on what I want.

And then I import the picture onto the page and get it just the way I want. Then I print using best quality onto the T-shirt iron on sheets. (Make sure you read the directions on whether to use mirror image or not.)

I do this all the time and have made lots of t-shirts this way.

Is a resolution of 300 DPI at a size of 1000 by 1000px good for a shirt design?

Posted on October 16th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 1 Comment »

I made a shirt design at a size of 1000px by 1000px. The resolution is 300 dpi. Is this the "proper" way to design shirts? What will be the largest this design can print before getting pixely? More info on resolution and sizes for shirt designing would be awesome! :)

The 300 dpi is good. I don’t know about the px measurements though, you should probably also give the inches conversion because not many people use pixels for measurement.

If possible you should try to design in vector format, it can be resized to any size with pixelization. It’s also better to create the image in the size it is going to be printed at to prevent resizing problems.

When you are ready to get the shirts printed Check out 10ShirtsFor99.com

Posted on October 14th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 1 Comment »

Ok, I am entering a constest for school and my design is due tomarrow, i need something for boys and girls who are either 13 14 or 15! i need help, some bitch is gunna win. We are all going to six flags and the whole 8th grade has to vote on the t-shirt design

How about a picture of a roller coaster ride with your school’s name or "Class of ‘ 09" printed across it. Or I think they have a log ride and you can show a picture of the log hitting the water with a big splash and print your school’s name or "Class of ‘ 09" in the middle of the splash… Good Luck and have fun on your trip! =)
