Is a resolution of 300 DPI at a size of 1000 by 1000px good for a shirt design?
I made a shirt design at a size of 1000px by 1000px. The resolution is 300 dpi. Is this the "proper" way to design shirts? What will be the largest this design can print before getting pixely? More info on resolution and sizes for shirt designing would be awesome! ![]()
The 300 dpi is good. I don’t know about the px measurements though, you should probably also give the inches conversion because not many people use pixels for measurement.
If possible you should try to design in vector format, it can be resized to any size with pixelization. It’s also better to create the image in the size it is going to be printed at to prevent resizing problems.

What is a good t-shirt design for a 8th grade field trip to Six Flags?
Ok, I am entering a constest for school and my design is due tomarrow, i need something for boys and girls who are either 13 14 or 15! i need help, some bitch is gunna win. We are all going to six flags and the whole 8th grade has to vote on the t-shirt design
How about a picture of a roller coaster ride with your school’s name or "Class of ‘ 09" printed across it. Or I think they have a log ride and you can show a picture of the log hitting the water with a big splash and print your school’s name or "Class of ‘ 09" in the middle of the splash… Good Luck and have fun on your trip! =)
Anyone out there ever earned money in one of those t-shirt design contests?
You guys probably heard of t-shirt design contests like those held by Threadless, DBH, etc. Anyone ever really earned money in any of them? I’m especially interested in one called T-shirt Hell. Are they for real? Also can anyone tell me why I cannot access the Design By Humans website? I keep getting a "403 Forbidden" message appearing on the screen.
Yes, you actually win at Threadless.

How should I go about creating a this t-shirt design?
My design is sorta complicated and no one exactly has been able to give me any good advice…My shirt consist of a pouch thats made of vinyl or some other material that will keep the contents from getting wet(example…I would like to put a dollar bill inside of clear see through pouch, something like "In case of a fire break glass" type of idea). ANY HELP OR IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT
Easy…use a clear envelope/folder from Staples. Sew it on to t-shirt.

How do i make my own commercial t-shirt design?
I’m here in the Philippines and I’m planning to make my own t-shirt brand. I already have a brand name in mind but my problem is how to make or create that designs for commercial use. I know that it’s easy if it is for my personal use but how do I do it if I’m planning to produce 500 pieces as initial production? Help pls. Thanks!
The easiest way would probably be to use a print-on-demand company…. online shops that you can customize….. no inventory…. one of the big ones with a very active marketplace charges less than $7 per month for a nice premium shop…. other than that, a lot of the POD companies offer free shops…
You can offer a wide variety of products such a t-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs, keepsake boxes, fine art, greeting cards, etc.
You create designs with a graphics program like Photoshop then create your storefront and promote it. The POD companies do all of the product creation, shipping, customer care, etc.

How do I publish a T-shirt design?
I have drawn the coolest design and I have no idea how to publish it on a T-shirt! I need help, because I think this may be the most popular shirt ever! Anyway, give me any type of answer involving how I can publish a T-shirt design! Thanks!!!
xoxo
Very easy. You don’t need to publish it, find a printer, make tshirts, etc. Just add your artwork to this website, they provide the pictures of the finished shirts (with your design) and sell them – and you make the profit on every shirt sold!

How do I make a shirt design look damage treated in Photoshop?
We’re doing T-shirt designs and I want to make the picture on mine look old and damaged. However, I do not know how to achieve this effect in Photoshop. If anyone could point me to a good tutorial or tell me how themselves, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
well first of all, t-shirt designs should be created in or at least printed from Illustrator. If your doing this as a limited color screenprint ESPECIALLY! If it is a CMYK full color print, Photoshop is OK to use. Basically you will want to create a texture/pattern in black and white. and then use some layer transparency options to get it how you want it.
I’d do a search for photoshop tutorial and grunge effects. Most designers create their own textures, but I think u may be able to find some online. TONS of photoshop tutes out there just google it!
How can I tell if i’m done ironing on a t-shirt design?
How can I tell when the design has finally stuck onto the shirt? And if the design comes off the shirt can i re-iron it on?
If you’re using one of those store bought kits, it should tell you how long to iron for. I don’t believe you can re-iron on the same design if it doesn’t work. you pretty much only have one shot. I don’t think it should take longer than a minute if it even takes that long
