How to print own design t-shirt and find good quality blank t-shirts?
More information the better! Thanks!
I am trying to learn what are the steps to print own design on t-shirts. What are the equipments I need and the steps to process it?
Also where can I find good quality t-shirts?
It will also be great if anyone know any tips.
(Is there any top coat I can put over the design printed on t-shirt? Ex, maybe like a gloss?)
Has anyone have experience? Have anyone started their own clothing store before?
American Apparel is where most of the bands that I know get their shirts from because they’re good quality and have an abundance of different styles.
Also, I’d suggest silk-screening if you’re just starting off. Digi-printing is good, too, but it’s expensive and there’s quite a bit of equipment for it.
Also, if you silk-screen you can get a clear-gloss that goes with it to protect the colors on the shirt.

Can you tell me is there any website or software that you can design your own t-shirt?
As for details is like;
1. Design T-shirt
2. Colour it and put any picture to make it look great.
Get some printer transfer paper and print any pic or design to it and iron it on a t-shirt. Really Kewl.
I have been using Paint Shop Pro for over 7 years and have done all the upgrades. I am using psp10 right now and love it. It has endless ways of processing photos, painting, drawing and so much more. Get a free 30 day trial d/l . ![]()

Whats the best way to put your own design on a shirt?
I don’t want to send it off because i’d want to be there adjust the design change the shirt color, basicaly do it yourself type.
some people advise those printer papers that you print off the picture you want on a home printer, then iron it onto the shirt. my experience is those crack really easily and they make the design a different texture than the shirt, so don’t use those.
the best way to totally customize a design is to draw it yourself, then screenprint it yourself with some old panythose, a frame, and some screenprinting ink. here’s a guide that i used and it worked really well for me: http://www.threadbanger.com/post/490/diy-screen-printing-how-to
note: use screenprinting ink instead of "fabric ink" like they suggest, it will make the ink go on more smoothly and prevent the non-dyed parts you can see in their final product.
if you’re adventurous you can try painting the shirt. in my experience acrylic paint dabbed on very lightly with the back-end of a paintbrush over and over comes out very nicely. it also allows you a lot more freedom with lines and such. looks a little more diy, but personally i like the effect.
then of course you can send it to cafepress.com, you upload the picture and they put it on a shirt for you. i’ve done this and the quality isn’t that great, and you have to make sure there’s no pure white in your design or it will come out the same color as the background. basically these shirts look like something from a kinda cheap department store.
hope this helps!
where is the cheapest place to design your own t-shirt online?
i’m looking to design a red men’s t-shirt and to use a site where i can upload my own graphic
along with Zazzle you can try CafePress.com
i’m pretty sure cafepress is a couple of bucks cheaper.
is it illegal to design a shirt (your OWN design) and sell them if its designed after a band? ?
say i design something on adobe illustrator after the foo fighters, its my own design and i want to sell the shirt. is that legal?
no it isnt a copied design and it would just be my own design with the name of foo fighters on it
The "sell it" part of your question would clearly put your project on the wrong side of the copyright protection laws.
Lets take a similar example and change it by degrees:
If you design your own Foo Fighters tee shirt and wore it as your own piece of "fan art," you would be fine, as this would fall under the copyright laws "fair use" doctrine. You are using the band name on your original design shirt as a form of homage. You could even go so far as to make an EXACT copy of one of their existing designs, and you could wear it.
Take it one step further. Lets say you and a half dozen friends are all going to a Foo Fighters concert and you want to make six copies of your tee shirt design. As long as you aren’t selling the shirts to your friends, you should still be fine, under copyright and trademark laws. (still personal use)
One more step farther: Lets say, you own a tee shirt printing business, and you decide to print out a few hundered of your custom designed Foo Fighter shirts and brought them to a concert, to give them away, FOR FREE, as a way to promote your shirt printing business. This effort crosses the line of legal vs. illegal as your distribution of the shirt, with a trademarked name is still for commercial purposes, even though you are not making a dime, in fact, you would be losing money on distributing these free shirts. The point here is that you are attempting to, eventually, make money on this promotion by encouraging future business. Without the band’s permission to use their name, you could face a lawsuit.
So, even if you sold, EVEN ONE, single shirt, no matter who created the design, you would run afoul of copyright and trademark laws and face a possible lawsuit if you got caught.

Is there a thing where you could design your own shirt or jacket?
I just want one (not a lot of shirts) shirt or jacket that has my own design on it. You now like a one and only thing?
