How do you design a shirt and print out like 50?
I just thought of a pretty neat design for me and my friends, but i was wondering how i design the shirt and where i go to get it made.
try cafepress.com, customink.com, or ask a local sports store.
How do I dry my clothes without ruining the design on the shirt?
How do I dry my clothes without ruining the design on the shirt?
I air dry my clothes that I think will mess up in the dryer. You could also turn them inside out and place them in the dryer on low. You best bet is to air dry them though. That way you know it won’t ruin it. =)
is it bad to iron a shirt isideout that has a paint like design on it?
like the shirt print is kinda like paint and other stuff, weird texture! but if i iron it will the design get the shirt lint on it? bcuz i did that with a CALI INK shirt and like the lint got stuff and now it looks faded, was ironing it the problem?
There is usually a label that gives the instructions for washing and ironing. If you iron the right side, the ink/paint may smear and you will have ruined the shirt. If you iron on the wrong side, use an iron that is not too hot to go over that area
Can anyone help me come up with a photography club t-shirt design for my high school?
I’m trying to come up with something original for our photography club t-shirt because the ideas submitted so far are less than glamorous. I would like to draw something on the back and have a quote, but I want something original. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not very creative with ideas! Thanks!
I would love to use our mascot, but unfortunately we have the worst "mascot" possible. I live in Baton Rouge which translates into red stick so our mascot is the red stickers. haha
Make the front the side of the camera you would look through with the peep hole. If you can, try to draw something in the hole.
On the back make the picture of what you would be taking through the peep hole.
What size should I make the t-shirt design?
I’m designing a t-shirt for a theater festival my high school is attending, and I don’t know what size to make the Adobe InDesign document.
What is the standard design area? Any type is okay (picas, inches, etc)
Rule of thumb:
Design to the final size. You are working on a computer, what you see in front of you can be no bigger than the size of your monitor, so you may as well scale the document to whatever final size the image is going to be. You can always zoom in and zoom out. If your tee shirt design is going to be ten inches wide and eight inches tall, then that is the size you want it to be designed in. After that, your only concern is the resolution on your final print.
If it is a vector drawing, then resolution doesn’t even apply.
I have a question. Why are you doing this in InDesign? Is it that you only plan to use the vector drawing tools and text layout functions? If so, then you’ll be fine. Just open up a "New" document that is slightly larger than your final design, just as it will appear on the shirt. Then do your layout.
Or, if you plan to create an illustration in another application and PLACE it in InDesign, then the resolution issue will rear it’s ugly head, but not in InDesign, but in whatever app you use to create the illustration. If so, the create the image IN ITS FINAL SIZE. Pick a resolution of at least 150 pixels per inch. (much higher is kind of wasted on a tee shirt. Pixels that are smaller than that tend to get lost in the fabric’s woven texture) Do the design and convert it to CMYK mode. (just to be safe. I don’t know if it’s a multi colored shirt and if it needs to be screen printed. In any case, it couldn’t hurt) Then, it should be ready to place it into the InDesign Document.
Have fun.
How to design your own shirt in real life?
I live in California, specifically Orange County, and was wondering is there any particular places to design your own shirt in the store?
Such as any type of shirt whether it be a tank or tee.
Any store names? Thanks!
Why not try the online shirt designers. They offer very nice design options or you can upload your own designs. You can view a list of online shirt designers at http://bargainfinder2u.com/deals/where-to-print-clothing/

What kind of equipment would a person need to run a custom design T-shirt company?
I want to be able to press my own patterns and designs onto a shirt. But I don’t want it to have that super glossy look. It should look professional. Kind of like what you see on little kids outfits when they join a sports team or something like that.
Any websites you have that might help would be greatly appreciated.
Aside from business permits and licensing which you can find info on at your state’s website (usually www . statename . gov), you will need large scale silk-screening equipment or possibly embroidering equipment if you plan on printing for others. I used to work for a place that did both and they said that it was helpful to have both types of customization available.
With silk screening you will also need a conveyor dryer to speed dry times so that you can produce items with a quick turn around and to keep things running smoothly if order volumes increase (this helps because oft times there will be customers who will pay anything to get a faster turnaround). You will also need rack space for inks, emulsion and transfer fluids, plenty of silk screens, a lot of table space for printing, etc. etc.
Where can I send custom-design shirt to be made?
I designed a custom t shirt from my computer because I don’t like the way cafe press squeezes my picture into the center of the shirt and makes it looks tiny. Is there a website I can send the file to in order to get my t shirt printed with the scale I want?
I don’t know about a website, but you might wanna check into a local tshirt shop. No shipping fees that way.
I want to design a shirt what is the best program or site to do that?
I am going to but the paper tomorrow but I need a site or program to design on.. I have more than one image to do on the shirt.
http://www.customink.com
They have an easy to use customizer on their website. I’ve ordered from them before and was very pleased with the shirts.
