How do I design a shirt that…?
My friend and I are trying to design shirts for a band we’re going to see this summer. We know exactly how we want to design, but we’re running into a little trouble. The design is fine, but we are looking to put our design/layout on a ZEBRA print patterned shirt. We can’t seem to find any sites that allow you to design a shirt where they have the ZEBRA PRINT shirt or allow you to make the shirt zebra print.
Any ideas on what to do?
Go to a place in your town or somewhere close that will print stuff onto Tees or that will desing it for you, you’ll just have to tell them the font you want, the size, the color, give them your shirts, and they’ll do everything for you.
How can I get my own design printed on a t-shirt?
I want to get an image I’ve created printed on a t-shirt, are there any websites which will let me upload my image and get it printed on a shirt?
I just want a one-off, I don’t want to order bulk amounts.
I’ve had shirts done at http://bullshirt.me/ before and they came out perfect.
Good luck!
Does anyone know what are the standard sizes of art work for a t-shirt design?
I am trying to start my own t-shirt line using custom tattoo art but don’t know where to look and find some of the best practices. Can you help?
I run a clothing label and there isn’t really a ’standard’ size for a design as far as I know. It depends on your label and how you want it to look. Some like their designs smaller whereas some like them huge!
By practices I presume you mean how to actually put the design on a tee? Screen printing is the best way to start off mate. Pretty easy and cheap to get materials. Look it up on wikipedia.com or just Google ’silk screen printing’ or ’screen printing’. You can start off just doing it by hand if you want to save money on equipment.
Any other questions just ask. Good luck with your line.
If I make a T Shirt design do I have any protection from someone copying it?
I have a print that I created and I dont want a company to take it once it is out. So I just wanted to know what are the steps to protecting my design.
Try submit to a contest like this: http://www.contestcreative.com/news.php?extend.37
This way you have a third party to proof you are the copyright owner.
Good luck.
how much should i charge for commisioning a t shirt design?
hi, basically a company has asked my to produce some art work for a t shirt. company, who are up and coming,i am new to this as i am jjust out of uni, i have asked on a couple of t shirt website but all i got was snobbish replies. no help at all.
You are being commissioned and not commissioning…
Keep track of your hours or estimate how many hours it will take including the creation of the rough drafts to the final art work (including consultations with the company), how many colors will be involved, the number of screens and then your charge per piece of delivered work.
If you will be making the screens for printing, burning the same or cutting them by hand, etc., add that in too.
Consider how much they will gain from the use of the piece in advertising on t-shirts, pumper stickers, letter heads, new print ads, etc and get a percentage of what that will be (however, don’t get too greedy as smaller profits bring customers back and large profits drive them away…repeat business is always nice to have in many ways).
Be fair but don’t get taken and yes, your competitors will not be likely to be very helpful (as such is a bit of a cut throat business…)
Good luck.
can you ask a tailor to sew something like a design onto a shirt?
i’m sorry i just want to know and i guess wasting 5 points here would be better than embarrassing myself in public by doing something stupid
yup…u can…
but i think maybe the fees is a little high…
but worth if the design is cool..
lol…
Is it copy right if use print a T-shirt the same as T-shirt design but print my own?
I have graphic art’s and in that class you can print your own designs on a T-shirt. If I used an image I saw from another T-shirt design and print it on for my T-shirt is it copy right? Is it considered stealing? What If I draw it on my own and then print it on to the T-shirt?
the shirt design: http://www.yesstyle.com/en/ando-store-set-u-neck-print-tank-ribbed-tank-top-green-one-size/info.html/pid.1021066166
I won’t sell it.
It’s suppose to be just for me.
It’s fine if it’s for personal use. Don’t worry, the FBI has better things to worry about. As long as you don’t use it for any commercial use (like show up on TV or make a fanpage of yourself on facebook and have that shirt on) you’ll be fine. And even if you do use it for commercial use, omg no one is going to care. You drew it yourself. You made it yourself. Obviously that design isn’t a wide-spread logo (like a coke shirt or a nike symbol) so drawing it won’t be such a big deal.
Trying to design a transfer for a t-shirt. With Windows XP, not able to lay out my slogan like I want it. Any?
I know there is free software for just about everything. I need a few more options than the word processor gives me – like I want the words in an upside down arch but the one I have makes it way to "U" shaped where it’s hard to read the words. Any free software downloads that help you lay out designs? Thanks!
Some versions of MS Word allow you to create a text box with these type of font tricks. Search for WordArt or Autoshapes to find this.
Use the grips (the little black squares on the corners and edges) to manipulate the look of the word art.

Where can I design a shirt for me to buy?
Is there a company that I can find online or in Southern California that I can give a design, and they will make T-Shirts for me?
Links?
How much should I expect to spend?
How customizable can they be?
Thanks for your help!

Anyone with good ideas for a business school T-shirt design?
I need to design a T-shirt for my college’s business school. The dean wants something presentable, but the students want something cool and funky. I decided that a black collared t-shirt would look presentable, but I’m stuck at the design of the shirt and slogan. Does anyone have any ideas on how to relate business to cool and funky? Thanks a lot for helping!
Are these for both guys and gals? I would probably do this…do a formal design on left chest. On the back something like "We mind our own business" or "Takin care of business" If you need a printer look us up, we can help.
