Its been awhile but I know Vans, No Fear, etc. used to accept submissions for Tshirt designs and paid 200-300 per. if they liked em. But its been awhile..

But go check out istockphoto.com and see whats selling. Anybody can sell their art and photos. I’m a designer and we buy illustrations off there all the time. Its basically high-quality clip art. Like if I need an illustration of an apple and orange, its cheaper to pay 5 bucks that spend an hour or so drawing it myself.

I recommend you learn Illustrator if you don’t already. The good part is if people dig your stuff, you can sell it again and again.

My team has just launched their new kit, its foul. I have an idea to send the manufacturers but was wandering if there was any software out there or website that allowed you to design your own football shirts. Im aware of all the t-shirt sites, I dont want them. Really all I need is the outline of a footy shirt…I can do the rest

The only thing i can think of for you to do is to go somewhere like jjb sports and they have a whole load of different kits available, i dont think there is anywhere that you can design your own though sorry.
By the way your kit cant be as bad as the new chelsea one(ha ha) my son wants it and i really do think its NASTY!

I need a site that allows full customization, such as creating a design myself and putting it on the shirt. I also want it to be either sleeveless or short sleeve.

They make their money on the basic price of the item. If they say the shirt costs $24.99 then that covers all of their costs to make the shirt and ship it.

But you might want to consider opening a shop and putting it in there. Also free. You can mark the shirt to be sold at $29.99 and if anyone else likes your design and buys it then CP will keep 24.99 and send you $5

I am trying to start my own t-shirt line using custom tattoo art but don’t know where to look and find some of the best practices. Can you help?

I run a clothing label and there isn’t really a ’standard’ size for a design as far as I know. It depends on your label and how you want it to look. Some like their designs smaller whereas some like them huge!
By practices I presume you mean how to actually put the design on a tee? Screen printing is the best way to start off mate. Pretty easy and cheap to get materials. Look it up on wikipedia.com or just Google ’silk screen printing’ or ’screen printing’. You can start off just doing it by hand if you want to save money on equipment.

You could try zazzle.com. I’m not sure if you can e-mail your design to people or not, but you’ll have a personal page with your designs and you can give people the link.

You don’t need a website for that. All you need is a drawing program and or a photography program and a cannon printer package that is designed to make t-shirt transfers. it is that easy. you can find the paper and the program in art and stationery stores. It is not that expensive. It is just like making a picture and then you put it in to reverse transer format or mirror image format and print it on the transfer paper. You then iron the transfer on shirts. That is all there is to it.
