Design a t-shirt online?

Posted on January 28th, 2010 by admin in online t shirt design | 5 Comments »

I’m looking at designing a t-shirt for when I go abroad to Majorca with a large group. The only thing is, I’ve looked online and a lot of these websites are really expensive. Has anyone got a cheap website to use?

I don’t want people that have just googled it to answer this, I want people who have actually designed a t-shirt or know of a friend who has done it.

Just email him. He is really good!

How to design shirts using Photoshop CS4?

Posted on January 28th, 2010 by admin in design shirts | 1 Comment »

So im 15 and my dream job would be designing t-shirts and having my own line…so i need to find a website that gives me a run down of how a person designs shirts, how do they start? with a photo? draw the design with a tablet? i need alot of information…

you just use whatever you have.
a graphic, a photo, a drawing.
usually you design your shirt then send the design to a tshirt manufacturing company.

here is a shirt i photoshoped up for a band.

What are some good designs for a Student Council shirt in high school?

Posted on January 28th, 2010 by admin in shirt designs | 1 Comment »

Hello yahooers! okay. i am having a problem. I want to have a part in my high school student council. Currently, we are trying to design our shirts. What are some designs that i should throw out? (Note: I am the only boy in the student council) I just feel nervous about my current design and that the girls will not like the idea and just try to pick something they like

If you want to have your design pass the scrutiny, come up with two. Make the first one so appalling that your second one–the one you really want to pass–will look awesome by comparison.

I suggest for your first one, put a couple Care-Bears surrounded by Tulips with, of course, the Student Council Name above it.

For the second, I would play it safe and just try some big block letters–arched…throw in a star burst in the background.

How to make your own T-shirt design?

Posted on January 19th, 2010 by admin in design your own shirt | 1 Comment »

My friend’s birthday is coming up, and I want to make them a T-shirt with a design I made on it, but I don’t know how exactly. I made the design on the computer and I’m planning on printing it off on cardstock and using it as a stencil, but what paint should I use? Do I buy fabric spray paint, or the regular old paints and a paint brush? How long will the design stay on the shirt, because I want it to be sort of like a screen print (I looked into screen printing but nobody will make me just one shirt).
Thanks for the help!
:)

I think fabric paint and paint brushes would be best. Depending on the kind of fabric paint you use it can stay on there any where from 2 years to forever.Wal-mart sells a really cheap kind, so I wouldn’t suggest that. Instead check out Plaid stores or Michales or Hobby Lobby.

Best of luck hope this helps :)

Where can I buy a custom made t-shirt online for just 1 person & lets me put the design anywhere on the shirt?

Posted on January 19th, 2010 by admin in online t shirt design | 3 Comments »

Usually sites just let me put the design directly on the front of just the upper back of the shirt. Is there any other site that lets me put things on the side and whatnot? I DO NOT WANT BULK QUANTITIES. Thanks in advance.

Try PrintOnDemandShirts.com

They print on the front, back, sides and sleeves with no screen charges.

Besides these three, are there others out there that would do what I want it to do? I have also heard of Paint.net & Gimp. And have heard alot of good about Gimp. I am looking for something to download for free. Money is tight at my house.

I suggest Adobe Illustrator

What licenses will i need to start a t-shirt design business?

I would like to be able to purchase shirts at wholesale and sell them locally and online. What kind of licenses and permits will we need to be able to establish ourselves as a company?

You will need a FEIN, a TIN, a resell certificate from your state, and a sales tax ID. You MIGHT have to have a local business permit, depending on where you live….
