If I design t-shirts do I have to copyright/register every single design I do separately?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin in design shirts | 4 Comments »

I know copyrights are free and are effective once you’ve created your design but if I want to register. do I have to resgister each design, every time?

I think you could create a logo or trademark symbol, register that, and put it on all your T-shirt designs. Then everything you create should be protected under that trademark.

What would be the best way to go about starting a t-shirt design business?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 2 Comments »

I’ve always doodle pictures all over my homework and anything else I had with me and thought of possibly designing t-shirts. I think it would be really fun, and would like to know if anyone would know how to start your own business.

I would look at Cafe Press first. The advantage is that they will do everything for you–supply the shirts, print them, and sell them online. This way you can be the idea person and not deal with the other stuff. Unless, that is, you want to deal with the other stuff. Remember, you can get stuck with lots of inventory and time invested if you want to do it all yourself

What kind of programs/skills do I need to make cool t-shirt designs?

Posted on November 22nd, 2009 by admin in shirt designs | 3 Comments »

I wanna make designs for like those cool modern-ish t-shirts. Like this one http://profile.ak.facebook.com/object2/1295/11/n5251894158_4665.jpg

That’s for and organization with my church. But how do you make graphics designs like that?

I would agree, Adobe Photoshop or even better is "Corel Draw" – its a really great program for designing t-shirts.

If you need any help or have any ideas you want to try out before you go out on your own try visiting http://www.digitalmayheminc.com.
If the owners are on the site they will do a live chat and are usually very helpful.

Good Luck!

Trying to design a transfer for a t-shirt. With Windows XP, not able to lay out my slogan like I want it. Any?

I know there is free software for just about everything. I need a few more options than the word processor gives me – like I want the words in an upside down arch but the one I have makes it way to "U" shaped where it’s hard to read the words. Any free software downloads that help you lay out designs? Thanks!

Some versions of MS Word allow you to create a text box with these type of font tricks. Search for WordArt or Autoshapes to find this.

Use the grips (the little black squares on the corners and edges) to manipulate the look of the word art.

I want to start an online t-shirt design business and I would like to know where can I buy blank women’s short-sleeved and strappy t-shirts, as well as men’s boxer shorts and women’s bikini underware, all blank (in different colors) with no markings, good quality and good prices and not so large quantities.

What’s a good idea for a Beta Club t-shirt design?

Posted on November 20th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 1 Comment »

My school’s Beta Club wants a clever t-shirt design for our Beta Club. Last year we had someone draw a box of nerds (candy) on the back of the shirt and we wrote, "We’re not nerds, we swear." Then we modified the nerds box–where it had the weight in the bottom corner we changed it to say the number of members and other details like that. Anyone have ideas for this one? Funny please!

ummmmmmmmmmm……… whats a beta club just add it in your details and i will reply with a good drawing

Making a tee shirt with a design on the back?

Posted on November 20th, 2009 by admin in tee shirt design | 2 Comments »

Ok I’m a very big bird hunter love it to death and we have a saying if it’s flying it’s dieing and I would like to do a t shirt with that on it with doves ducks and geese with black and yellow labs on it aswell with if it’s flying on top it’s dieing on bottom how would you do that and were would you get the decals and what would you use to make it? Thank you for the answers

Michael’s Crafts Stores are very popular, and they sell alot of iron on decals. Or visit any craft store. What’s really popular is a clear iron on. What you do is find what you would like to print on it, and send the clear decal sheet through your printer. Voila! Your intended image will be printed on the clear iron on sheet, and just iron onto your sheet. More explicit instructions will be on the package. Hope that helps.
