Do you have a cool shirt design for a rafting company?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 1 Comment »

I work for a whitewater rafting company and I design their tee-shirts that we sell to guests. However, I’m having a brain fart here! Anyone have any good ideas? Or something that you would buy if you went rafting? (We raft in California.)

How about a picture with an ore, an upside down boat, and a bottle of beer floating down the rapids with the beer centered in the middle and the words… Our motto: Save the beer, forget the rafters !

Hope this helps…….

Does creating tee shirt graphic designs fall under graphic design?

I guess this answer can vary to different people, but I would say yes. To create t-shirt designs you use a vector program, the best one out there is adobe Illustrator, and vector graphic are a form of graphic design. after your done creating the graphics and it goes to the screenprinter, then at that point it becomes "screenprinting"

How can I design my own tee shirt?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in tee shirt design | 2 Comments »

I want to make tee shirts to give to family members in celebration of the birth of my daughter. I’ve priced out getting tee shirts printed, but frankly they are way too expensive. Can anyone recommend a kit of some sort that I can use to make my own? I want to make Team Emma shirts and have each person’s role on the back of the shirt like Grandma, Uncle, etc.

go like to a hobby (Hobby Lobby, Michael’s), Sewing store (JoAnn’s, Hancock’s) and find some Iron on letters and probably some graphic, clip arts to make yourself.

Also check out VistaPrint . com and go to t-shirts.

how much should I expect to earn when selling t-shirt designs?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in shirt designs | 1 Comment »

I have several designs and an interested company that specialise in slogan shirts, they’ve given me a price per shirt they sell if they print them and supply the shirt and a price if I supply them ready printed. Which do you think is the best option and how much should I be looking for, sale price is £17. Also how much can I get them printed for and where? I’m in the UK…

If the company that is interested has access to printing facilities, it can probably get them done at very competitive rates and buy the blank t-shirts at wholesale prices, too.

If you do it yourself, you’ll have to make sure that the quality of the t-shirts and printing is what your outlet expects, otherwise you could spend a lot of money for nothing. It also depends on the quantities that they expect you to supply. As a general rule, the bigger quantity you buy and have printed, the cheaper they are. That’s how you increase how much you make.

Negotiate with the outlet about your return if they do everything for you. Bear in mind that they, too, get the benefit of quantity discounts.

Try approaching Business Link for free help from one of their advisors on what you’re planning to do. Have a look, too, at companies that provide corporate gifts or incentives. Most of them print t-shirts, which will give you an idea of prices.

Good luck!

How To Start Your Own T Shirt Company?

Posted on October 26th, 2009 by admin in design your own t shirt | 3 Comments »

I’m good at graphics and have a knowledge of textiles. How do I combine the two to design my own t-shirts and/or start my own t-shirt company? All constructive answers are welcome.

1. Vision. Define your strengths (eg., graphics + textiles). This will define how you market your product, how it looks over all, and all the little details within that you need to do.

2. Marketing. It’s essential in today’s design world. You might have a good product but if its weak on branding, labeling, packaging, shelf appeal, matching coat hangers, etc., it’ll look bad. Consistency also needs to be achieved across the spectrum including same font, same style, etc. Designing is totally open to new creations and ideas, so anything goes, but there are some boundaries that you don’t want to cross, while others you need to break through.

3. Online selling. Very possible if you use Ebay, Zazzle or know how to set up an E-commerce website yourself. Lots of people shop online now, you just need to know how to market it right and get your products noticed.

4. Promo. Get it out there! Make sure your friends buy your products or you could give out freebies. Put stickers, advertising your shop, wherever you can. Be proactive because designers are really admired, especially if your product is favorable.

How to design, create & sell your own shirts?

Hello. I’m Josh, and i’d like to know how I can design my own shirts, then create and sell them. I don’t want some site that you go to and create them. I mean like, get a machine that can burn designs onto basic plain shirts. Now, i’ve watch a couple videos on Youtube about it. The one I prefer is the video by I think by hippomarketing. It’s this man talking about his heat presser machine. His name is Cartess Ross I think. And I would like to know how to proceed in making tee shirt designs. I was wondering how and where I can buy this, heat presser machine. What stores sell them, and how much? Also, in the video, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cv8_pFyXTaI] he uses a special paper with his designs on it. I was wondering how you make your own designs and put it on that paper. Also, what kind of paper do you use for it. Where can I buy it, and how much? He said about 50 cents per sheet. And just basically what is the process of doing this? Please tell me all the info about this, so I can do this. Please. Well, that’s it I guess. Thank you!

idk..but this sounds awesome! :D
