What uk website has the best online t-shirt design dydtrm?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin in online t shirt design | 2 Comments »

There are many sites you can use to design and buy your own t shirt but can never find a really good one.

I want a t shirt with a logo on the front that I have and one that you can have small text on the sleeve also. They are all quite basic but wondered if there were any you could manipulate a bit more?

Any ideas anyone?

what software do they use to design shirts like Affliction?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin in design shirts | 1 Comment »

Is there an inexpensive way to design the graphics for t-shirts (Less than the obvious $800 for photoshop) and where do they get those wild looking graphics? Is there some sort of package a person could buy or do they freehand the designs? I am not super artistic and would love to make some of my own shirts, but can’t afford to buy that type of software.

they probably use psp or photoshop to clean artwork up, like most clothing its drawn out before produced

First shirt design how do I decide on a shirt color?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin in shirt design | 3 Comments »

Im an inspiring clothing designer. Im only 17 and have been using Adobe Illustrator/Phototshop alot recently. I just got done with my first design and I want to iron it on a shirt just 2 get a feel for it. However I have no idea what color shirt to go with. Its red, darkish yellow-red, and a lighter yellow orange kinda color

How should I decide on what color shirt to use, does anyone have any tips?

you should try a color that totally contrasts the design to make it more interesting :)
maybe purple or green

best way to get graphic tee shirt design clients?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin in tee shirt design | 2 Comments »

anyone living in new york right now, trying to pay their way through college knows its tough, and being a graphic design student myself
i’d like to sell some art on the side to earn some money to help
but i havn’t sold one piece of art my whole life, and ive been trying for awhile.
what are some good ways to obtain clients?
aside from Myspace deviant art and emptees.

take a silk screening course in your college. learn how to do it yourself.

buy some blank shirts online cheaply and use their equipment to produce some product. try to do it as cheaply as you can to maximize your profits.

come up with something pithy or clever, use simple graphics and short messages that speak to people or are funny.

try to sell them at the local flea markets, concert parking lots, dorm rooms, computer labs, online sites ect.

OR with gorilla tactics and setup a sidewalk stand with high traffic and do it that way…

depending on how cool your shirts are and how much of an entrepreneurial you could make some money.

Any ideas?

Thank you :)

I use ;

www.spreadshirt.net

It has always had a good outcome for me.. also I spent some time comparing prices and found that this site is the best.

I hope it is helpful for you.

What’s a good t-shirt design for a high school culinary arts club?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin in design at shirt | 2 Comments »

So I joined the culinary arts club at my high school today and they asked for people to design some sort of t-shirt if they want to.

I was thinking it would say on the front "I love culinary arts club…". Then on the back there would be a picture of a cake, possibly with a heart around it, and below it would say "…like a fat boy loves cake."

I think it’s pretty good, but it might be offensive to overweight people. So is this too offensive and does anyone have any other funny ideas?

Thanks.

i like your idea but i think your right today pepole get offended very easily and so heres my suggestion. you could have a heart on the back of it and have the heart filled with different things like a pot and pan, a chef hat, a cake, different utensils and etc. on the front just put a small or medium logo that says ( –your schools name–) high school culinary club or you could get your school mascot and put a chef hat on it and again just put culinary club on it. hope that helps! good luck and have fun!

will i have a violation on spoofing a shirt design concept?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin in design a shirt | 1 Comment »

hi, i am planning to print a spoof design on a shirt for my personal use… no intentions of selling those… if i will put my face instead of the face of the original design, and change some text like adding a word or a phrase, will it be a violation of any copyright laws? i want to make sure before i print on the shirt… take note i am in the Philippines… thanks!

For your own personal use, you can pretty much do what you want without worry about any copyright infringement.
